Growing up in Hawaii allowed me live and learn the meaning of Aloha and the Aloha Spirit; I like to think that Aloha and the Aloha Spirit defines who I am. Here is a definition of “Aloha” and the “Aloha Spirit” – “Aloha” is more than a word of greeting or farewell or a salutation, “Aloha” also means mutual regard, respect and affection to extend warmth with loving care. “Aloha” is the essence of relationships in which each person is important to every other person for collective existence . . . whereas, the “Aloha Spirit” is personified by warmth, friendliness and sincerity.
At the age of 20, I relocated from the island of Oahu to the Phoenix Metro Area. I previously resided in the cities of Tempe, Mesa, Chandler and I now reside in Scottsdale (32 years and counting).
My first profession was in Engineering and one of the last positions I held was Task Lead for a group of System Security Engineers. After 28 years in Engineering, I transitioned into the exciting profession of Real Estate as a Full Time Realtor!
Since 1991, I also invested in Real Estate and worked as a property manager in Scottsdale, Phoenix and Glendale.
With my Engineering, Property Management and Real Estate Investor background, Real Estate Sales was a natural progression for me as the skills developed were easily transferable. These skills include: Attention to Detail (as there are many Legal Documents in a Real Estate transaction), Attention to Clients Needs and Wants, Ability to perform a Detailed Analysis (a key point in finding the valuation of a home’s worth) and the necessary skills to negotiate on your behalf (as an engineer, I negotiated thousands of requirements and that skill translates into a meaningful benefit for my real estate clients).
I am fortunate to have 2 cups of Engineering, 1 cup of Property Management, 1 cup of Real Estate Investing and 2 cups of Aloha as my recipe as a Successful Realtor.
